This week, I ache for the nation, as I’m sure many of you do. I am contemplating a future in which my beloved country is not only feckless, but Twinkie-less. How have we come to this? Yet another good reason to use “feck” in a sentence.
Ah, well. In the past few days, I’ve seen three things in the press that I thought were worth passing along. My loyal readers rarely click on these links, but I encourage you to. These are time well spent:

WAIT! What’s this? Since I drafted this yesterday, Hostess has announced that it will sell off its brands. And I just read that they are heading into mediation with the baker’s union!
Hope, it seems, has no expiration date. Rather like the Twinkie. Not feckless at all.
